International Student

If you’re considering studying in Portugal and at the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (IPV), you’ll find all the necessary information on this page.

The International Student Status governs the admission of international students, with distinct regulations compared to national and European Union students, particularly for higher professional technical courses (CTeSP), bachelor’s, and master’s programmes. Please consult the relevant legal framework.

You can apply for Bachelor’s programmes through a special application process organised in two phases.

If you’re interested in applying for CTeSP or master’s programmes, you’ll need to submit your application to the respective higher school where the course is taught during the designated application periods. You’ll find this information on this page when this application process is open.

Within the application announcement [Edital], you’ll find details concerning admission requirements, available slots in each course, application deadlines, submission procedures, specific academic prerequisites for each programme, language proficiency standards, courses with additional prerequisites, selection criteria, and more.

Please refer to the information provided in the Applications 2024/2025 section.
